From NB Power/Milltown Project:
NB Power is moving forward with decommissioning of the Milltown Generating Station and the community will start to see activities associated with the decommissioning of the dam.
These activities and information we’ve learned about the historical industrial use of the site will regrettably cause a closure of the Milltown Elementary School’s soccer and ball fields. In addition, the picnic site next to the station, known as Salmon Falls Park, will be fenced for decommissioning purposes.
We ask that the community observe and respect the construction signage at the site.
