Opening or Growing a Business

Let’s get down to business

In St. Stephen, you can build a business while also indulging in a uniquely attractive lifestyle. Whether a franchise or small independent business, you’ll benefit from town support, training, and access to finance—plus town-wide fibre optic internet. We're also an ideal location for a larger business, with a business park directly serviced by rail and a nearby port connected to major highways. And you’ll get to enjoy the friendliness, natural beauty, and close-knit charm of a town that welcomes you.

We have what you need to succeed

Now more than ever St. Stephen is being driven by fresh optimism, entrepreneurial spirit, and talented human resources. A grassroots organization known as Future St. Stephen is a key driving force behind revitalization and economic development. Since 2014, over 50 new or significantly changed businesses have benefited. The goal is to increase town population by 1,000 over the next ten years while adding new life to the downtown core.

We invest in the town we care about

Your ideas, your confidence, and your business acumen will only serve to further the investments we’re already making in St. Stephen. Town infrastructure and aesthetics are benefiting from multiple programs and initiatives that your business can be a part of. Current revitalization projects include Elm Park infrastructure improvement, the Coastal Trail System, Milltown Blvd infrastructure improvement, Thompson Ave infrastructure improvement, and our waterfront project.
