Chocolate Galore!

You might expect that a place officially dubbed “Canada’s Chocolate Town” has a sweet connection—and you’d be right! For over 150 years, Ganong Bros. has held a place of honour in St. Stephen. That legacy continues today, offering visitors a delicious reason to explore. Ready to indulge?

Two Towns in One

Few places offer a cross-border experience quite like St. Stephen. Just across the St. Croix River lies Calais, Maine, creating a unique connection between two communities. Crossing the border? Be sure to stop in St. Stephen for a walk through town, a great meal, or a relaxing riverside stroll. Better yet, visit during the International Homecoming Festival each August—where both towns come together for food, activities, a cross-border parade, and a spectacular fireworks display enjoyed on both sides of the river.

A River Runs Through It

The St. Croix River has long been central to the history and growth of both communities. Today, it’s the perfect backdrop for a laid-back afternoon. Grab lunch from one of our local restaurants and enjoy the waterfront, or venture a little farther to discover parks, trails, and scenic outdoor spaces waiting to be explored.
