Justin Wesselink

Councillor

Justin Wesselink was born and raised on a small family farm in rural Huron County, located in midwestern Ontario. The farm upbringing taught him early on that hard work and dedication pays off. He brings with him a varied work experience that represents the hardworking residents and entrepreneurs of St, Stephen.

Justin’s varied work experience includes being a licensed red seal mechanic, who spent almost 10 years working at 3 different car dealerships. He then transitioned into construction, excavation, and part time mobile rustproofing. It was through construction that he became a commercial truck driver, hauling aggregate and equipment and eventually tanker and milk product.

It was with much research and consideration that he, and his spouse Robin, decided to chase their dream of owning a farm and providing fresh, local products to their community, so they moved to Little Ridge to put down roots and raise their young family in a farming environment. It is true what they say, “You can take the boy out of the farm, but you can’t take the farm out of the boy”.

After their move, they were welcomed very quickly into the community by their amazing friends and new neighbors. It was through the process of starting up their farm-based business, and wanting to help others in similar situations, that eventually led him to run for council.

In conclusion, Justin brings dedication, hardworking spirit, and determination to council chambers, representing the rural ward residents, local farmers, trade workers, and entrepreneurs.
